Cosette felt slightly dizzy as she knelt before the king- but not because of her sickness, but because of the sheer joy that built up inside her. She was finally Michael's wife! She had a family again! It seemed too good to be true! She looked over at her new husband- her husband! And felt herself go giddy! No words could express the love and bliss that brimmed in her eyes. Gone was the fear and prim veil. Her eyes promised devotion through the good and bad. She beamed up at the king as the crown was placed on her head. But then her bewitched and bewitching gaze returned to Michael's and she longed to be in his arms, but was not sure if his parents would approve!

Michael glanced over at his wife - his wife, how perfect it sounded! His jade eyes sparkled with excitement for this moment they had both dreamed of. But in her eyes, he saw the one thing he had lost hope to ever see again - her passion had returned. They rose together and paid respects to the King and Queen. The priest stepped forward and said loudly, "You may kiss the bride!" Michael needed to provocation for that. In place of the subdued tender kiss he had intended, Michael pulled her to him and kissed her ardently, though not obscenely. Knowing she had truly returned to him was more than he could take. The crowd gasped then applauded the overzealous prince.

Cosette's eyes widened in surprised as she was pulled into a very passionate kiss. She giggled and blushed. Of course it was not that she did not wish to be kissed like that, but in such a public place? Was it wise? No doubt the news papers would be talking about it for weeks... But at the look in Michael's eyes, she forgave his moment of foolishness, for if she had had the courage, she would have done the same. She loved him so much, and after that kiss- more than ever.

Michael pulled back and smiled down at his bride. "I love you, my little princess." Taking her hand and wrapping it in his arm, he proudly lead her down the aisle to a waiting carriage, nodding his head at the congratulations that rolled in.

Cosette squeezed his arm and nuzzled his straight, aqualline nose affectionately, kissing his cheek to show her version of public affection. She could not quite adjust to the fact that she was now a member of the Danish royal household. But, she did not care, so long as she could accept that she was married now. And married to a man she realised she had always loved, in one form or another, since her childhood. She watched as red, white and gold rose petals were cascaded over them, and tried to shield Michael's hair, laughing all the while, as Estelle handed her her bouquet, and fell in behind her, taking Lucian's arm.

Michael handed her into the grand carriage awaiting to take them to the Glorianna Theatre, where he first fell in love with her all over again, for the reception. He waved at the crowd with a winning fake smile, then joined his bride in the carriage. Taking her hands in his, Michael grinned like a school boy at her. "How are you feeling, my darling wife?" he asked, caressing her cheek.

Cosette closed her eyes to his words and caress, "Darling wife...how well that sounds! And to think I would never hear you say it!" she sighed, and kissed the ring she had recently placed on his finger. She took his hands in hers and looked up at him earnestly, "Now no one can separate us- can they darling? Please say that they can't, that they won't."

Kissing her brow, then her lips briefly, Michael whispered, "No one. Not even Death himself, for if one of us does pass on to the heavens, we will wait for the other..." Pulling her close, he enveloped her in an embrace of ardent love and protection. For now he had a wife - the wife - he would always adore and dote on, and no one was going to harm her again.
